LCWMD Catch Basin Cleaning to Resume mid-December

LCWMD Catch Basin Cleaning to Resume mid-December

Through a competitive process, the Long Creek Watershed Management District (LCWMD) has selected The Ted Berry Company, Inc., of Livermore, Maine, to clean stormwater catch basins in the Long Creek watershed.

This process removes sand, grit, leaves, trash, and other debris from the stormwater system: it’s an important part of the pollution prevention activities LCWMD manages that maintain and improve water quality in the creek.

Work will begin on or around December 12, so you’ll soon see festive red or white Vactor trucks, similar to the one below, around the watershed!

Many Participating Landowners will be contacted by CCSWCD in advance about the timing of work on their property, but we will do our best to minimize inconvenience for customers, visitors, and patients on all parcels. Contact Aubrey Strause (astrause@cumberlandswcd.org) or Scott Reynolds (sreynolds@cumberlandswcd.org) with questions.
