General Permit Enrollment Surpasses the Required 50%!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Participating Landowner Agreement requires that we have 50% of the designated impervious cover enrolled in the general permit by May 28, 2010 in order for everyone's PLAs to be effective. 
 
We have surpassed the required 50%.  In addition, we have confirmation at this time that 83% of the designated impervious cover will be enrolled in the general permit. 
 
Long Creek Watershed Governing Board Next Meeting

Long Creek Watershed Management District Board of Directors Meeting, Wednesday, June 23rd, 9:00 a.m. at ecomaine.  Agenda will be posted at:  www.restorelongcreek.org a week prior to the meeting.
 
LCWMD Governing Board Accepting Applications for Committees
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Board is interested in establishing two committees at this time - Finance and Technical.  Committee terms will extend two years.  The Finance Committee will be chaired by the Treasurer; will meet quarterly and will have a minimum of four members and maximum of six.    The Technical Committee will have a minimum of four members and maximum of eight, at least one of whom will be a board member.  The Technical Committee will provide input to the Board on the implementation of the Operation and Maintenance Plan and the prioritization of implementation of the Management Plan.  
 
Committee appointment process - It is recommended that the interested parties submit a letter of interest that explains who you are, your connection with the Long Creek Watershed, which committee you are interested in serving on and what experience and expertise you bring.  Applicants will be presented for appointment at the next LCWMD Board meeting.
 
Don't forget your Notice of Intent!

Following the processing of your Participating Landowner Agreement and Memorandum of Agreement, you will need to fill out the Notice of Intent (available at: http://www.restorelongcreek.org/permitting/index.htm) and send it to the attention of Don Kale at Maine Department of Environmental Protection, 312 Canco Road, Portland, ME  04103.
 
Auditing Services Request for Proposals

The Long Creek Watershed Management District (LCWMD) is seeking proposals for auditing services.  An RFP can be requested from LCWMD c/o CCSWCD at 35 Main Street, Suite 3, Windham, ME; by e-mail from tamara@cumberlandswcd.org; or download from:  www.restorelongcreek.org.  Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m., June 16, 2010. Any late proposals will not be accepted and will be returned to the proposer.  The LCWMD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. 
 
Legal Services Request for Proposals
