It was a long, hard winter, but with the first round of pavement sweeping wrapping up, Long Creek Watershed Management District’s (LCWMD’s) contractor ACV Enviro / Clean Venture, LLC will soon start inspecting and cleaning approximately 600 stormwater catch basins and drain manholes in the Long Creek watershed.
Spring 2018 work will begin the week of June 11. The contractor will begin very early in the day for work close to buildings in order to minimize interference with LCWMD Participating Landowners and their tenants, customers, patients, and visitors.
This process removes sand, grit, leaves, trash, and other debris from the stormwater system: it’s an important part of the pollution prevention activities LCWMD manages that maintain and improve water quality in the creek.
You’ll soon see ACV Enviro / Clean Venture, LLC Vactor trucks, like this one, around the watershed!
