Fall 2020 Sweeping

Fall 2020 Sweeping

The Long Creek Watershed Management District (“LCWMD”) provides Participating Landowners with periodic pavement sweeping services as a participant in implementing the Long Creek Watershed Management Plan.

Three more pavement sweeping events are planned for this fall. Two “hot spot” sweepings and one “full sweep.” Hot spot sweeping events are only performed on high-traffic areas such as drive throughs and along some curb lines. Not all participating landowner parcels have identified hot spots.

The first “hot spot” Sweeping will start tomorrow on September 24th and will continue for about a week. The second hot spot sweeping event will occur in October and the final full sweep of all participating landowner parcels will take place in late October into early November.

Pavement sweeping typically takes place at night or early in the morning before your businesses open. However, during the day you may see the contractor’s staff preparing for off hours work. Daytime activities may include blowing or sweeping debris away from the edges and corners of your pavement.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Pete Carney or Chris Brewer.
