Funding Available for Participating Landowners

Just in time for spring, Participating Landowners are reminded that funds are still available under the Private BMP Incentive Program which provides financial incentives to Participating Landowners that invest in activities that will improve water quality in Long Creek. Participating Landowners are encouraged to consider projects such as rain gardens, tree plantings, and vegetated buffers which provide aesthetic appeal for properties as well as water quality benefits for Long Creek.

Details concerning the program and suggested projects can be found on the Incentive Program page.

LCWMD has $295,000 allocated to this program for fiscal year 2023 (July 11, 2022 to June 30, 2023). Awards are for up to 75% of project costs, with a cap of $50,000, so funding can be allocated to as many projects within the watershed as possible.

Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis through June 30, 2023, or until the allocated funds are exhausted.
